Each year, Washington University in Saint Louis sends a delegation of students to the global negotiations on climate – also known as the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change’s (UNFCCC) Conference of the Parties (COP). During November 7 – 18 in Marrakesh, Morocco, six delegates and three alternates will observe negotiation sessions and take part in small group discussion with think tank leaders and government officials from around the world at COP 22. Funding to offset airfare and lodging for the students and instructors is provided through I-CARES.
The I-CARES community wishes our “observer delegates” an exciting and insightful trip, and we look forward to reporting about their experiences when they return.
